Popular Demand

Due to popular demand, I have taken pictures of the spiral staircase that leads up to the roof.
It was used in the 1600's to smuggle Indians to safety. Because the spiral staircase hadn't been invented yet, no one knew how to use it.

At the start of the eighteenth century, the Brazilian law enforcement agency used the staircase to get on the roof to spot illegal hang gliders. In the 1900's the staircase was used to reach a deck that was built on the roof.
Current day, the beloved staircase is used by all in the family to "reach higher ground"

Yes, this is on our house.
Not much of the story is true.. sorry.. :) yes, in the late 60's the house did have a deck on the roof, but due to leaks, it was removed.
