Drag Boat

Crazy, pretty much sums this up.

Fastest thing I have ever gone on water in.

Top speed about 75mph, Propeller driven, Chevrolet 454, about 350HP and 400Ft. Lbs. torque.

Or watch on youtube

Car Shelves

I finally built some shelves for my diecast cars.
I am out of space, and now need to build more.

As you can see in this picture, there is a picture of a cat in the window.
This is to show my sensitive side, and show how animal friendly I am.
What people don't know, is that, the picture was there when we moved in.

Pictured here, behind the monitor, is the spider wall. And yes, these pictures were taken a while ago.

The angle of the cars helps in making them look more expensive. the peeling paint gives my room the desired "rustic" look.

Roofing!

Here you go!
Here be the pictures of the super fun roofing job.

My Brother takes a big swig of sawdust pop.

Mold! and rotten boards

An area like the one Dave fell through.
After bringing up all the rolls of roofing, Dave remarks, "we haven't even started".

Here Joe ponders jumping into the "fluffy yellow stuff" HOLE! (where a skylight was)

All patched up!

Now I know why roofers make so much.

That is one tough job!

Just hours before the snow started to fall on Saturday night, we finish the tar paper.

COLD~! and dark.

DONE! Yes, it's ugly. It'll keep the water out now.

Job well done.. er.. Job complete.

Dave's Roofing Project

I hope to have pictures later..
My brother's roof was leaking, so he decided that he needed to find out where from..
He went up on the roof and started walking around, when suddenly, his foot disappeared into the roof. It seems that there are a few rotten pieces of plywood up there, so the roof is going to need to be partially replaced. Hope it doesn't snow or rain.

Jury Duty!

This is my first official invitation to be a juror, and boy howdee I’m excited!!

Ok, ok.. That wasn’t my initial reaction. If I recall correctly, it went sorta like NOOOOOOooooooOOOOOO! As I saw it sitting there on my desk, I started to weep. Then suddenly I was hit with a revelation! It was from Arapahoe County! I live in Denver! Woo hoo! I danced out the door, and on up to the Arapahoe county Courthouse, to let them know that I wouldn’t be serving on the jury. Then it happened, 4 days later I get a new summons, this time from Denver. It looks like I’m not going to get out of this one. I have been starting to have a change of heart. This is my duty as a citizen, and I should embrace it. I am going to like doing it.

Interesting Game

Deluxe version is coming soon
http://www.kloonigames.com/blog/games/crayon
The music is quite stupid, but overall, it's a pretty interesting game

Fun With a LangaCar

Here is some of the fun we had straightening out Joe's frame.
It's still a little bent, but it sounds like it's running / driving pretty well!

New Sight

Just bought a set of new gun sites.
Check em out
I should get them in a few months and I have heard lots of good things about them.

Tree Trimming!

My dad was able to use the company's rented lift, so we cut down part of a tree that was above our roof. (and a little more)

Standing on a platform 40 feet from the ground with the wind gusting around 30mph and up.
(apparently not the most brilliant idea, but not the worst either)

Almost all the way extended (75ft.)
Here Beth stood on the roof and took a picture.

"Look Ma! No hands" (yes, I can hear the hecklers now.. "your arm is touching")

ERRRREARUAMMMMM! Go the chainsaws!

Plenty of sticks. time for a good BONFIRE!

"This one?" "Go?" "OK!"

COMING DOWN! Watch your head! (sorry Dad)

"This is HEAVY.. I'm tired.. Can we go home yet?"......"Oh. we are home."

Kermit Sighting

This morning I opened up the freezer, to find Kermit sitting there looking at me, with his half frozen glazed eyes. He jumped out so quickly that no one saw where he went!

The oddest thing happened next, for the next forty five minutes, Kermit sat at the piano playing and singing hymns.

After a beautifully sung rendition of "Great is thy faithfulness" Kermit dashed down the hall to Beth's room! Inside I found him saying something to the cat. It didn't look like she liked what she heard.
He began running for the door, all the while, screaming "I pay my taxes!"
As he was yelling he grabbed the camera and flung it to the ground.. It was quite incredible.

Spider Wall

Well, I figured I'd make this public knowledge.
On my basement wall, I have a square foot of space, I smash spiders and other bugs on. (complete with dates) I don't know if I should put a frame around it yet, but I am open for suggestion.
